"My personal success
with Seekford Solutions POP3 Wizard.
Being a pretty active
VB developer for the past years, and though being open-minded enough to focus
on the customers case and return of investment, I have always been trying to
find the most satisfying and feasible solution for the projects I have
been involved in.
Recently I have done a
web-mail service project, developing an integratable and scalable solution for
a customer, who wanted to attract and keep their users closely tied in to their
service. This meant, amongst others, developing a POP3 interface, which allowed
their users to have their various e-mail accounts fetched to their
"central" e-mail account at my customers server.
After looking through
the market for POP3 client application components, I can tell you most of the
packages out there either are far to filled with features, making them
cost a fortune, and/or simply to "easy" to use, which means you can not get
from the component, what you really need.
But, one stood out -
POP 3 Wizard from Seekford Solutions. It had all of the POP3 capabilities
implemented, and a very nice interface, which lets it up to the developer using
the component, how and what he/she wants to do, and in what way.
Through the work of
implementing, testing and stresstesting the application, I had a few, minor
issues with the component, which all were fixed in a very quality- and
customer-aware way, and quickly, by Seekford Solutions.
I can't do anything
else than recommend this great piece of a component to everyone looking into
developing applications with POP3 features in it.
For the record, I've
been actively looking and testing the following POP3 componets:
Dart, Imail, Power TCP, Distinct, EasyMail, WinsockQ and a bunch of others,
which I don't remember anymore...
