What is Whois Wizard v3?

Whois Wizard v3 is a custom control written for any ActiveX Client to simplify the process of WhoIsing networked machines. WhoIss are useful for testing if TCP/IP is working properly.

You can have as many instances of Whois Wizard v3 as you deem necessary.

Creating Whois Wizard v3 in other ActiveX clients

Add the control to your application in the manner you use to add other ActiveX components. You can also instantiate Whois Wizard v3 at run time.

Adding Whois Wizard v3 to a Visual Basic project

First, make sure that the Whois Wizard v3 custom control is part of your project. Start Visual Basic with your project and choose Tools | Components for VB5 and VB6, and choose "Seekford Solutions, Inc. Whois Wizard v3" and click OK.

After you've added the control to your project, the Whois Wizard v3 icon appears in the Visual Basic Toolbox window.



To put it on the form, click on the new Whois Wizard v3 icon and draw a control on the form. To use the functionality of Whois Wizard v3, you must have at least one instance of Whois Wizard v3.
